Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving combined for 63 points as the Dallas Mavericks beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 108-105 in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals.
Doncic led the way with 30 points and 9 rebounds, while Irving added 33 points. The two stars were particularly effective in the fourth quarter, combining for 21 points to help Dallas close out the victory.
The Timberwolves were led by Anthony Edwards, who had 26 points and 10 rebounds, and D'Angelo Russell, who added 18 points. However, Minnesota was unable to keep pace with Dallas down the stretch, as the Mavericks made several key plays in the final minutes.
The win gives Dallas an early advantage in the series, which continues with Game 2 on Wednesday night in Minneapolis.
